ULC 90th Anniversary Celebration Open House

On Friday, September 10, 2010, Underwriters Laboratories of Canada (ULC) will be holding a 90th anniversary celebration open house (6 & 7 Underwriters Road, Toronto, ON).

To further enhance their safety mission, this open house offers a great opportunity to learn and participate in a wide range of technical training and interactive activities including:

• Technical Talks – Technical training sessions will be presented by UL and ULC technical experts on various subjects such as Special Inspection, Environment, ULC Standards, the new IEC 62368 standard, Applied Safety Science and Engineering Techniques (ASSET), along with IEC 60601 standard.

• Ongoing Demos and Technical Booths – Throughout the day various UL and ULC services will be exhibited.  The engineering team will be there to assist with any questions and requests.
• Complimentary Product Construction Reviews – Complimentary product construction reviews will be approximately an hour in length and are informational only.  The review will not result in a UL or ULC listing or any formal documentation.
• Guided Lab Tours and Test-Set Up Demos – A closer look at state of the art testing facility with on-site test set-up demonstration in the fire and electrical labs.
• PV Arrays Ribbon Cutting – Come out to see the newly installed photovoltaic arrays and learn more about the school education / outreach program in the area.
