Workshop Outline:
- This online seminar will outline some of the challenges that are coming up as the newer codes related to smoke dampers and detection are being enforced in provinces across Canada.
- The presentation will cover the history of these codes, how the codes outline the application of the changes and the issues that have come up across the country with applying these changes.
- The development of this seminar has been a very collaborative approach with many consultants, fire professionals and technicians weighing in to get a holistic insight into where we are and how we can best prepare for our own issues with the application of these codes.
- The presentation will also cover some of the issues with owning and maintaining a building with these additional smoke damper regulations in effect.
Who Will Benefit?
This workshop will benefit engineers, designers, consultants, property managers and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (building and fire departments).
Instructor's Biography
Tim Renaud
Western Canadian Fire Alarm Regional Sales Manager at Honeywell
Notifier and since 2015 has worked with Authorized Notifier distributors to get solutions for End Users and Engineers in his territory of Western Canada and the Arctic. He is also now the Senior Technical Sales Rep for Canada and serves as the facilitator for all Notifier technical committees in Canada.
Tim is also a National Director for CFAA and is the chair of the CFAA Marketing Committee. Tim also sits on the ULC subcommittee for S-1001.
