This in-person and online (hybrid) seminar will provide an overview of changes to fire alarm system inspection requirements as outlined in the new, 2019 edition of CAN/ULC-S536 “Standard for Inspection and Testing of Fire Alarm Systems”. The technical session agenda is as follows:
A certificate of attendance will be issued by CFSA following the session. This session may qualify for continuing professional development hours for designations (i.e., OACETT, CFAA, NICET CFPS, CFEI, etc.).
Chris is the National Technical Director at ONYX Fire Protection Services Inc., bringing over 16 years of experience in both fieldwork and office leadership.
Chris is a 309A Designated Master Electrician with Red Seal Interprovincial licensing. With a background in Electronics Engineering Technology, Chris is a registered CFAA-Technician and actively contributes to several of its national committees.
Chris also plays key roles in standards development through ULC and CSA, and is a member of SFPE and IFE. In addition to his technical leadership, Chris serves as the Provost of Onyx University, supporting education and professional development across the organization.
