Tess Espejo has over 20 years of experience in standards, codes, regulatory and project management, with more than 17 years at ULC Standards. She is currently a Program Manager of Technical Committees including Cannabis, Fire Alarm and Life Safety, Security and Intrusion Alarm, Live Working, etc. at ULC Standards.
Tess is a Voting Member, Standing Committee on Fire Protection (SC FP) for 2025 National Building and Fire Codes of Canada and former member of the Standing Committee on Hazardous Materials and Activities (SC HMA) for the 2010 to 2020 editions.
She is also an honorary life member of the Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA), and a member of the Canadian Security Association (CANASA), Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE), Canadian Fire Safety Association (CFSA), Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs (CAFC) Codes Committee, and Technical Standards & Safety Authority (TSSA) Liquid Fuels Advisory Council.
