Partner Session
The importance of maintaining competition in the fire protection industry, and its role in supporting public safety, innovation, and affordability is crucial. Sean Pearce discusses how the Competition Act and the Ontario Building Code work together to prevent anti-competitive practices, ensure product compliance through independent testing and certification, and promote a competitive marketplace that benefits building owners, occupants, and first responders. By fostering fair competition among manufacturers, service providers, and testing bodies, the industry drives innovation, cost-effectiveness, and continuous improvements in life-safety systems.
