Smoke Detector Spacing Design - Latest Code Challenges     

Smoke detector spacing has never been more complex. Evolving building designs, new technologies, and recent code updates are challenging long-standing assumptions about how detectors should be laid out—and what constitutes compliant coverage. This session provides Fire Protection Officers with a clear, practical look at the latest spacing requirements and the real-world obstacles that designers, installers, and AHJs are facing.

Tim Renaud is the Western Canadian Fire Alarm Regional Sales Manager at Honeywell | Notifier. Since 2015, Tim has worked with Authorized Notifier distributors, End Users and Engineers in his territory of Western Canada and the Arctic. He also heads up the Canadian National Technical Advisory Council for all Notifier partners. Tim also sits on the ULC subcommittee for S-1001.
