Matteo Gilfillan, LET, B.A.S., C.E.T., CFPS
President, Matteo Gilfillan & Associates Inc. (MGA)

Matteo Gilfillan is the President and founder of MGA. With his extensive experience in the fire and life safety industry since 2002, Matteo obtained a Licensed Engineering Technologist (LET) designation with the Professional Engineers of Ontario to practice professional engineering in fire and life safety studies and reporting related to Building and Fire Codes and Standards. Matteo is also a Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.), a NFPA Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS), and is a Qualified Designer holding a Building Code Identification Number (BCIN).

Matteo is actively involved in the development of the National and Ontario Building and Fire Codes as well as fire and life safety Standards and lectures extensively on Building and Fire Codes, life safety, and Fire Safety Plan training. Matteo is the past President of the Canadian Fire Safety Association (CFSA) and is an active member of various industry associations.

Matteo is a graduate from the Fire Protection Engineering Technology program at Seneca College and holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree from Bemidji State University in Minnesota.
