Firestopping 101: the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

Firestopping is the process of restoring the hourly rating of barrier walls and doors, so they prevent the transmission of toxic smoke, flames, super-heated gasses and heat. Properly functioning firestops are essential to maintaining the safety of a building. Moreover, it is required in the National Building Code. In this session, you will learn more about why firestopping is important, and the installation and testing processes to ensure firestops work correctly.
