Canada’s model construction codes (including the National Building Code of Canada – NBCC) are reviewed on a five-year cycle. The most recent version of the NBCC was originally scheduled to be released in December 2020 but, due to COVID-19, the National Research Council (publisher of the codes) has delayed this until December 2021.
